About Us

Our goal is to provide a FUN and beneficial program which strives to fulfill the purpose of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).  Namely, to develop American Citizens who are:  physically, mentally and emotionally fit; have a high degree of self reliance as evidenced in such qualities as initiative, courage and resourcefulness;  have personal values based upon religious concepts; have the desire and skills to help others; understand the principles of the American social, economic and governmental systems; are knowledgeable and take pride in their American heritage and understand our nation’s role in the world; and are prepared to participate in and give leadership to American society.

Scouting provides many opportunities for youth around the world.  It is a safe and friendly environment in which boys may learn and discover, finding new hobbies and meeting  lifelong friends along the way.

  • Scouting empowers boys to be leaders. They have an opportunity to lead their patrol and troop. The boys develop the troop program NOT the adults.
  • No other organization on Earth provides the positive reinforcement that Scouting does. The emphasis is placed on service to the community and interaction with others to achieve a greater goal.
  • Boys learn by doing, and Scouting teaches a host of skills that they will treasure and utilize throughout their lives.  From knot tying to first aid to cooking, Scouting is a place where fun and duty intertwine.
